Can Tea Help Me Exercise Better? What Are The Benefits?

How much exercise do you reckon you try and do each week? Do you feel any of these benefits?

  • Increase in energy
  • A good mood
  • Weight-loss
  • Reduced stress
  • Boost in immune system
  • Boost in productivity
  • Improved quality of life

Do those benefits sound familiar? That's because tea also exhibits most of these benefits! It's a good idea to incorporate tea into your diet and exercise regime so you can get the most out of your efforts - and enjoy a tasty cuppa while you're at it.

To truly allow exercise into your lifestyle try to find something that’s fun. Also find a motivation to want to do it (if the list above isn't enough).

For any type of activity to benefit your health, you need to be moving quick enough to raise your heart rate, breathe faster and feel warmer. This level of effort is called moderate intensity activity. If you are doing moderate intensity activity you will be able to talk, but not be able to sing. Aim for 150 minutes (minimum) of moderate intensity activity per week.

We understand it isn’t so easy to simply dedicate your time to exercise. Firstly, those who think they have no time to exercise, will sooner or later have to find time for illness. Secondly, not all exercise has to be done on a sports field or at the gym. Exercise could simply be housework for example. Mowing the lawn, a brisk walk to the shop, actively playing with your kids or walking up and down the stairs, even walking to the kettle to make a BRUU is stimulating your body to some degree.

Are you doing enough? Being honest with oneself is a good exercise. Do this for yourself, your family and friends. Always remember that there are many health benefits to sipping your favourite BRUU blend too; along with exercise, you are on to a winner!

Sweat, Sip, Smile…Repeat.
