These days most of us have pockets filled with music. I have an iPhone that contains all my music narrowed down to playlists for driving ("Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman), for when I'm at the gym ("Legendary" by Welshly Arms) and music for when I am relaxing or walking to BRUU HQ.
For me, having a specific song or a playlist for an activity really sets the mood. In an instant I can feel more alert and active or relaxed and in the moment - music really is transformative and most days Spotify will be playing uplifting background music to the BRUU team (Philter).
Drinking tea can be ceremonial and when coupled with the right music it can really take things to the next level. You can listen to music to match the provenance of the tea or songs with tea in the lyrics, but here are a few of my own personal preferences - feel free to customise your tea playlist however you want.
Music for black tea
The ultimate breakfast tea that I have first thing to help kick start my alertness and energy. For that extra bounce in your step I accompany with "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith or "Under Pressure" by Queen and Bowie, and for the diva's "Crazy in Love" by Beyoncé always hits the spot.
My preferred BRUU: Breakfast BRUU.
Music for green tea
I drink green tea for its antioxidant properties and weight loss effect; especially potent when consumed between meals. I listen with feel good music like "Best Day of My Life" by American Author and the Proclaimers “I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" always does the trick!
My preferred BRUU: Yummy Almond Green
Music for fruit tea
I personally love drinking fruit tea when I am at home and have no work demands. The fruity flavours are soothing and at the same time give me energy to do things around the house. Most Saturday's spent at home I listen to Colby Caillatt’s “Bubbly” or John Mayer’s “Daughters”.
My preferred BRUU: Flourish.
But if you need inspiration perhaps the kettle can help!
