Harness the Natural Cleaning Power of Tea

Harness the Natural Cleaning Power of Tea

Saturday night, you’ve decided that you and your partner are going to have a wonderful dinner. After cooking your non-stick pan is rather dirty and apparently not non-stick after all. So rather than scrubbing the Teflon off or ruining your favourite sponge, turn to tea!

Simply boil the kettle, place the pan face up on the draining board, and pour the boiling water into the pan until it’s just below the rim. Then, add one tablespoon of black tea and leave to soak. The tannic acid in the black tea acts as a gentle natural detergent, combined with the hot water, it will take any grease stains off any pan. How amazing is that? No more scrubbing your pots for hours on end, leaving you with wrinkled fingers. Now you can leave your BRUU to do all the work. And as if that wasn’t good enough, the black tea will also leave your pan smelling fresh and radiant. Downside? You are one cup of tea down in your supply!
