A Real Life Love Story Here at BRUU
We recently made an addition to our team. His name is Sam and he wanted to share his love story with you all.
“Coming toward the end of a 10-month travelling adventure around Europe and North America, I was due to take my final flight home to the UK. I had been travelling around Iceland for the past week and my transfer to the airport arrived at 5:00 am just outside the hostel. I boarded the minibus assuming I was the only passenger. As I reached up to place my backpack into the overhead compartment I noticed a pretty face smiling up at me. I was initially hesitant to open more conversation than “morning” as I was aware I wasn’t looking or potentially smelling my best having only had 4 hours of broken sleep. But something about this person’s energy compelled me to know more. I’d like to introduce you to Katy.
Two bus journeys later and now we’re stood in the check-in queue together having found out we’re on the same flight and Katy’s seat on the plane is directly behind mine - someone somewhere wanted something to happen.
The flight begins and it's apparent to us both that the seat across the aisle to Katy is free and as soon as the seat belt signs are switched off I swap my position.
A 2½ hour flight is made to feel like 10 minutes. We have so much in common. We are at similar stages in our lives. We have very similar beliefs and values. Where could this lead?
The plane lands and the free-flowing, wonderful conversation continues. The seat belt signs are switched off and everyone around us promptly stands up to unload their baggage from the overhead lockers. But Katy and I stay seated. Something magical is forming and we were oblivious to anyone else around us. My heart rate is slowly increasing and instinctively we both know was is about to happen. We kiss.
That was back in June 2016 and Katy and I are just about to celebrate our first Valentine's together having spent the past 8 months falling deeply in love."
"Love is not selective, just as the light of the sun is not selective. It does not make one person special. It is not exclusive. However, the intensity with which true love is felt can vary. There may be one person who reflects your love back to you more clearly and more intensely than others, and if that person feels the same toward you, it can be said that you are in a love relationship with him or her. The bond that connects you with that person is the same bond that connects you with the person sitting next to you on a bus, or with a bird, a tree, a flower. Only the degree of intensity with which it is felt differs" - Eckhart Tolle
We’re not trying to say we are in a love relationship with you lot but we feel it’s a great time to tell our customers that we do love you. You are definitely OUR cup of tea. Thank you for being you.
