The ultimate breakfast

A cup of our loose tea really compliments a healthy diet thanks to the natural ingredients packed into our teas. But here at BRUU we don't just rely on that to keep our bodies in equilibrium. So we thought we'd share a little ritual that takes place here every morning - our super duper breakfast shake.

It's liquid energy, will protect your body against disease and illness and will keep you going strong long after your bowl of cereal or toast gave up.

To make this magic shake you will need a decent blender and a few supplies. It'll make two 500 ml servings so one extra to share with a loved one or it keeps well in the fridge for the next day.

What you'll need to blend:

  • One banana
  • Kiwi
  • One apple
  • One stick of celery
  • One avocado
  • Handful of nuts (not salted or roasted)
  • Two small carrots
  • 2 inch segment of cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of porridge oats or whole wheat bran
  • Cup frozen fruit berries
  • Good handful of kale or frozen spinach
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 squeezed lemon juice

It is a monster shopping list but the ingredients keep well and it only takes a few minutes to make once you get the hang over it. Try it instead of your usual breakfast and we promise you'll feel incredible within a few weeks. Then you can experiment with other fruits and vegetables.
