LAPSANG SOUCHONG BRUU
5.95
A complexity of flavours mixed with a strong aroma
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
You will sense soft warming aromas that tingle the senses, with an almost fruity vibe.
As the drink is BRUUing;
An intense empyreumatic notes reminiscent, while the liquor is known for its lingering smoky flavour.
The taste journey;
Rich, refreshing, and naturally sweeter than most black teas. Unlike other black tea for some, this does not have any bitter taste.
About the tea region:
When Portuguese sailors came across Taiwan in the 16th century, they named it ‘Ilha Formosa’ meaning beautiful island, whereas China regarded it as a ‘mudball across the sea, unworthy of China’. It’s not hard to see why the Portuguese thought the island was beautiful, this mountainous country is also known as the Kingdom of Butterflies, boasting over 400 species!
Why we love Souchong BRUU?
This tea has distinctively smokey, and despite being fully oxidised, it can be steeped a second time. There is such a complexity of flavours in this tea that many either love it or hate it. It has a smooth earthy taste and a strong aroma.
