Sending Loose Leaf Tea to the BBC (Dragon's Den)

It was a proud moment last month when we launched BRUU on the Red Letter Days website beating our competition to a coveted spot as their only tea supplier. It was also nice to experience how supportive the RLD team was first hand when Head of Partnerships Andy Ling helped us brew up an ingenious idea.

In case you didn't know RLD is now run by Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis from BBC Dragons Den. So together we saw an opportunity to make them a unique blend and maybe get a bit of publicity too.

With the help of the RLD team we came up with two really fantastic loose tea blends for the dragons. Peter was sent PJ Sips - a play on words for a popular tea bag brand.  And since Theo owns lingerie brand Boux Avenue we decided to send him a BRUU Avenue instead!

Update >> So that was over a month ago and we have since found out that both Peter and Theo were given our teas. Unfortunately we didn't get any response from Peter, perhaps he is more of a coffee person. But we did get a lovely email from Theo's PA saying "he is looking forward to trying out his cheeky Crypriot shopkeeper tea and loved the packaging". There was also a promise that he would come and see us next time he is in North Yorkshire.

So we better put the kettle one...
