A characteristically aromatic, clean and crisp green tea that is packed with powerful antioxidants.
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
Grown on the slopes of Mount Tinderet in Nandi, this is one of our favourites. Bright and fresh-tasting, with a slightly sweet, grassy aromas, this a real gem.
As the drink is BRUUing;
The lightly golden liquor has a brisk and balanced taste with herbaceous and mineral notes of green vegetables.
The taste journey;
The balanced taste is mostly reminiscent of fresh green vegetables, with a slightly mineral, herbaceous character. Particular associations for us include creamy asparagus and fresh dandelion leaves.
About the tea region:
Tinderet is one of the few tea producers in East Africa processing green tea and is one of the most picturesque farms, with abundant wildlife such as the Colobus and Vervet monkeys and elephants living in the neighbouring forest. Due to its beautiful slopes, which are often illuminated by powerful storms, the Tinderet Tea Plantation earns its name as the ‘place of lightning’.
Why we love Tinderet?
Astringent, pale liquoring, with geranium-tropical fruit notes. Deeply silvered tip in the leaf in appearance with very attractive khaki-bronze green hue on leaf particles.
