SHAWLANDS OP

From an award winning tea estate
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
The strong and earthy is a sure sign this is going to be a good BRUU.
As the drink is BRUUing;
A beautiful BRUU with wonderful colours starts to fill the pot.
The taste journey;
It goes brilliantly both with and without milk, we love the aroma and its slight caramel note.Â
About the tea region:
Shawlands estate is found on the southern slopes of Madulsima hill range, the estate was established in 1880 and grows 262 hectares of tea, 55 hectares of rubber and has 113 hectares of forest plantations. The Shawlands Estate produces around 3 million kg of green tea leaves and 9,000 kg of rubber latex annually from the fields which are certified by Rainforest Alliance, so it has quite an eclectic product mix.
Why we love Shawlands OP?
It goes brilliantly both with and without milk, we love the aroma and its slight caramel note. We can see why this estate has won awards for their exceptional quality and unique taste. Characterised by its methanolated feel in the mouth, the aftertaste carries spicy notes of black pepper and black liquorice harmonised by the refreshing touch of minty toffee and lemon.Â
