PINGSHUI
5.95
Greyish, dark pellets of irregular shape resemble that used as an explosive propellant for early guns.
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
The pure freshness of blue skies and crisp mountain air instantly fills your senses.
As the drink is BRUUing;
The liquor is yellow, with a strong, honeyed and slightly smoky flavour that lingers on the palate, it requires a short brewing time or it can get bitter.
The taste journey;
This is a good basic green tea with a fairly strong flavour of wood smoke over the fresh green leaf, hints of nuttiness with a spicy finish.
About the tea region:
As a main gunpowder tea producing area, Pingshui is a town located in the southeast of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang province. In the past, local factories in Pingshui town collected dried tea leaves which just went through preliminary processing from neighbouring areas for refinement process before exporting finished tea to foreign countries.
Why we love Pingshui?
Since gunpowder tea is classified as a green tea, it shares all of the health-supporting antioxidant properties that are specific to green tea.
