An exceptional spring-grown loose leaf black tea with subtle notes of citrus and spice.
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
A fresh, earthy aroma tantalises the senses.
As the drink is BRUUing;
The liquor has a deep russet colour and its body is rich and robust. Generous flavours of muscatel cascade from the cup, with an accompanying overtone of nutmeg.
The taste journey;
Smooth Darjeeling style cup, but distinctly fresher tasting with caramel pepper notes and jammy sweetness.
About the tea region:
Located in the hills of Eastern Nepal, Sundarpani, Fikkal Ilam, with the altitude of 8,800m above sea level is the smallholding tea estate that brings us this amazing BRUU. Ilam is a small hill town with pristine landscapes of sloped tea gardens, mountain streams, dense natural forests, holy sites and a unique culture .
Why we love Ilam?
Astringent, pale liquoring, with geranium-tropical fruit notes. Deeply silvered tip in the leaf in appearance with very attractive khaki-bronze green hue on leaf particles.
8,848 m above sea level
Yellow, red, and brown-forest soils
