What it is?
A light black tea loaded with flavour, made using full leaf OP camellia sinensis grown on South India’s Lockhart Tea Estate.
Why we love it
Handpicked on the day BRUU visited the Lockhart Factory. Unbroken leaves reduce the amount of surface area. This allows the leaf to infuse gently into the water creating what we feel is our favourite black tea yet.
Where it’s from
Lockhart dates from 1879 and sits 10km southeast of Munnar. The soil on the slopes of Chokarmudy, one of South India's highest peaks, from which the entire valley of Lockhart can be seen, have the perfect minerals for plants such as cinchona, coffee and of course, camellia sinensis (tea) to thrive.
How our drink hits the senses
Somewhat sweet with that typical black tea whiff. Tempting.
The taste journey
Full of flavour yet nowhere near overpowering. Can be served with or without milk and a dash of sugar for those with a sweet tooth.
Best enjoyed;
1tsp // 100°C // 2 mins * Also try with a little sugar. Thank You Lockhart
