A high altitude black grown 8000ft up on the renowned Sri Lankan Nuwara Eliya tea estate.
How our drink hits the senses:
Whilst sitting dry in its container waiting to become your BRUU;
Even before it's BRUUed you'll know this is going to be such a mellow black tea. Smooth smelling yet stimulating signs of a slight astringent side to the drink. Always a delight to smell a dry BOP (broken orange pekoe leaf).
As the drink is BRUUing;
An initial mellow / earthy aroma as the black leaf begin to dye the water a gorgeous copper colour. There is something unique and mysterious about a quality black leaf tea smell and taste.
The taste journey;
The broken leaves have much more surface area which increases the taste. Enjoy the subtle sweet tang rousing your tongue but with such grace and depth.
Best enjoyed;
1tsp // 100°C // 2-3 mins
